I worked around 30m from this place in the mid 90s. Only ever having seen the outside, it's interesting to see what's inside in this series of photos showing an industrial complex from another era, frozen in time. The coal-fired power station, built from red brick, started generating in 1903 and ceased operation in 1976. It featured in a Boyzone video and also several TV dramas. The building is located adjacent to the Poolbeg Generating Station with the tall, twin red and white smokestacks.
